Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

"I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" was originally written by Roy Wood for his band Wizzard, and reached number 2 in the UK Christmas charts in 1973, behind Slade's "Merry Xmas Everybody", the latter of which was a mainstay of the Christmas Specials and other episodes with scenes set at Christmas during the Russell T Davies and Steven Moffat production eras.
