A male Torchwood Cardiff operative worked for the institute in the late 19th century. He acted as Emily Holroyd's partner, and was Alice Guppy's immediate predecessor.
Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]
In working for the Torchwood Institute, the operative worked alongside Emily Holroyd, acting as her partner during missions.
At some point in 1898, he succumbed to a "mutative infection" during a mission. He subsequently metamorphosed into the new Queen of a "snake-like race". As a result, Emily was obliged to burn him to death. (PROSE: Diary of Alice Guppy [+]Loading...["Diary of Alice Guppy (short story)"])
Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]
Following the operative's death, Emily employed Alice Guppy to take his place. She described his fate to her during a meal, which left Alice disgusted and unable to finish eating. (PROSE: Diary of Alice Guppy [+]Loading...["Diary of Alice Guppy (short story)"])
