Tarzan was a fictional character about a man who lives in the jungle amongst the apes, Ace gave Nimrod (a man who strongly resembled an ape) the nickname Tarzan (DW: Ghost Light)
When Hilary Pink asked the Doctor if he had ever read Tarzan of the Apes, the Doctor replied that he had met him, too. (EDA: Eater of Wasps)
- This would seem to imply that Tarzan exists as a real person in the Doctor Who Universe.
Behind the scenes
- Brian Blessed played Clayton in the 1999 Disney film.
- Phil Collins (who wrote the music to the 1999 Disney film) was one of the many actors thrown out to play The Master in the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie.
