A factory was a place where items were manufactured.

History

The Hellcombe Factory was owned by Lord Hellcombe during World War I. It manufactured British Proto-Daleks. It was secretly run by the Daleks for the Dalek Project. (COMIC: The Dalek Project)

In 1979, Wildthyme Unlimited was a factory in England in which Iris Wildthyme manufactured Suitors for her company, Suitors, Inc.. The robots were designed to resemble either the Fourth or Third Doctor. (PROSE: Suitors, Inc.)

In the alternate Earth where Rose Tyler's father Pete was still alive, the Cybus Cybermen had cyber-factories by 2007 where they converted humans into Cybermen. (TV: The Age of Steel)

The Bane made Bubble Shock! in their London Bubble Shock! factory. This was part of their plan to convert all of the human race into Bane zombies. The factory was destroyed in the 2000s. (TV: Invasion of the Bane)

In an article on the Cybus Industries website that attempted to recruit new employees for Cybus Industries, potential employees were sorted into two categories, between the Trainee Scheme and Seniors Programme; the Trainee Scheme started its employees off on the factory floor and would mould them into the perfect worker. Undated events

During the Last Great Time War, the Dalek Time Strategist's merging of realities caused the Davros Foundation factory to manufacture an infinity of Daleks. (AUDIO: Palindrome) Later in the conflict, a Dalek Fleet tried to claim the weapon factories at Villengard, only for the War Doctor to detonate a molecular fruit bomb, turning the factories into a banana grove.
