Master Librarian Naimon was an amoral, ambitious member of the Plume Coteries. The grandson of the legendary Master Roland, he had inherited his crossbow, which shot fountain-pen-shaped bolts. He also wore thick glasses, as well as a belt-holster of ink cartridges around his waist.

Three months after Callum and Maritsa stole Coloth away, Naimon tracked them down and attacked their camp in the night. They woke up in time to attempt an escape, but Naimon managed to wound Callum in the thigh with a crossbow bolt, and eventually managed to recapture all three. Searching them, he found Callum's map, still set up to display Floor 899,167,435,042, which Master Roland had apparently visited but never finished exploring. Eager to reap the glory of finishing what his ancestor started, Naimon tried to force his prisoners into helping him to scout out the floor, but fell to his death when he refused to listen to Coloth's warnings about the lack of an actual elevator inside the elevator shaft leading there, having failed to look for himself because he was unwilling to take his eyes off his prisoners.
