The Bellagio Imbroglio was an adventure for the Doctor Who Roleplaying Game, included in the sourcebook Gamemaster's Companion. Uniquely for the series, this story was designed as a pure historical.
Publisher's summary
In this adventure, the time travellers are pulled into a swirl of intrigue, mystery and romance! At stake: the lives of an innocent family.

Worldbuilding
- The Bellagio Stone has a mystic significance, believed to be the Philosopher's Stone. While it may simply be an ordinary gemstone, it may also be a gem grown within the Time Vortex which emits artron energy or an object of significance to the adventurers such as a message from the Time Lords or a fragment of the Key to Time.
- Cagliostro's Elixir of Life, said by legend to have been shared with Cassanova, may actually have been Time Lord technology. If the legend was true, Cassanova may have been granted the ability to renew his body twelve times, and still resides in Venice today under a new face.
Notes
- If the gamemaster does not wish to play a pure historical game, there are options to add Daleks and/or Krillitane to the story, both well-integrated with the Venice setting.
