Berkley Silver

Berkley Silver was a trillionaire entrepeneur with a business empire spanning whole galaxies. When he was seemingly murdered by Vienna Salvatori, law enforcers Arned McGinnis and Lois Mead investigated. (AUDIO: The Memory Box)

In fact, his murder was clever ruse to make the universe think he was dead. In actuality, he doubled the bounty that was placed on his head, committed suicide, and helped Vienna to create a memory box to convince her that she had in fact killed him. He had meanwhile stored a copy of his mind inside another memory box within the mind of his unwitting employee Norvelle Spraggott.

When Vienna, Spraggott and the two law enforcers found their way to Volcana, the hub of Silver's company, Silver took control of Spraggott's mind and set into motion his plan. Mead's own memory box opened to reveal her true identity to be Roxanna Ceverley, agent of Flaming Sword, whose purpose was to take down Silver and destroy his revenant workforce. Vienna was able to trick Silver back into the dark recesses of Spraggott's mind, freeing Spraggott and killing the revenants, using her own name to seal the memory box hiding Silver. She erased her name from the minds of the others, meaning that only she was able to bring Silver back, something that she had no intention of doing. (AUDIO: The Memory Box)
