Are you sure that was doctor who I can't think off the top of my head what story that is. Though I mean I haven't seen it in a while but wasn't the pirate planet like that . I know there was a guy with a big metal arm the "it is not a toy" shouty guy, but I am not sure that it had a mind of its own. Also that was late seventies but you should check it out. My initial guess would be The Ark in Space, which features a guy who was in control of a space station (therefore the "lord" of that environment), who's slowly being transformed into a Wirrn. The transformation starts with his arm, which does turn into a sort of claw that he's always trying to hide. And there are definitely scenes where he's struggling against his hand, making it appear the hand is in control of him. :The Ark is the most obvious, best choice to look at first, but if that doesn't end up being it take a Gander at The Brain of Morbius (1976). Morbius had a claw-ish thing on one arm and there was a scene (or two?) where he could not control his killing urges and reached for people with the claw. The set looked quite a bit like a castle and the other main character of the story appeared physically as if he could have been royalty. I actually remembered this episode as you describe your memory, but it was due to only seeing one or two episodes of the story originally and then much time passing before finding and watching Doctor Who again. If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.
I need help to find out what episode of Doctor Who is still n my mind since I was a little child. This is about an episode on TV in the early 1970s in Holland. The episode was about a lord who covered his right(?) hand because it was actually a killing claw with a mind of its own. If this rings a bell for someone, I would very much appreceate to learn what episode this was so I can get my mind at rest.

- Well, given this is a memory from your distant past, it's possible you're not quite remembering things correctly.
