Coelurosauravus

Coelurosauravus was a type of reptile that lived in the Permian era. They lived in the trees, clinging to the branches with their sharp curved claws. They were the earliest known flying reptiles on Earth, predating the pterosaurs by millions of years. Coelurosauravus flew, or at least glided enthusiastically, using "wings" that were actually extensions of its ribcage. The creatures were inquisitive and friendly. Their diet was primarily insects, but they also ate carrion, plant matter and whatever else they could find.
