Marcus Hearn was editor of Doctor Who Magazine. He succeeded previous editor Tom Spilsbury in issue 516 in August 2017 and remained in the role until issue 594 in August 2023, after which he was succeeded by Jason Quinn. However, he continued to edit the magazine's comic strip output after this.

He was also an editor for Doctor Who Magazine Special Edition and The Essential Doctor Who and was an assistant editor for Doctor Who Classic Comics.

He was writer of the reference book The Vault: Treasures from the First 50 Years.
