Edward Grainger was a human who was visited by the first eight Doctors in various periods throughout his life.
During childbirth, Edwards mother and family were under attack by a Demon, the Demon wanted to possess Edwards body and use it as a vessel so it could live in the real world. however the Doctor managed to banish the Demon before it caused any harm to Edward. (ST: Prologue)
