Commander Ridgeway was a Royal Navy officer. On Captain John Hart's orders, he led a submarine expedition to search for the Sea Devils. They captured him and his crew, but the Doctor helped free them. (DW: The Sea Devils)
- In the novelisation, his name is given as Robin Ridgway and his rank is given as Lieutenant.
