A Hermit is one who lives on his own. The Doctor told Romana that he knew an old hermit who lived in the moutains of Southern Gallifrey. He told him of the Record of Rassilon. (DW: State of Decay) The Doctor told Professor Yana he, Martha and Jack were all hermits. He asked why he was a hermit with freinds to which he replied they were hermits united. (DW: Utopia)
