Redvers Fenn-Cooper was a hunter. During a hunting trip to Africa he saw a bright light that made him mad, he claimed it had wings.
He went to Gabriel Chase and was taken care of there. He got in on Josiah's plan to kill Queen Victoria. Their plan was that when the invitations to the palace came, they would go there and shoot the queen using Redvers' hunting skills.
Redvers stroked up a relationship with the alien Control and so when the invitations came he took Control instead of Josiah thus crushing the evil aliens plans.
