Following the broadcast of Time and the Rani Doctor Who Magazine followed changing the Doctor in their comic strip from the Sixth Doctor to the Seventh Doctor.
Early Stories

New Adventures Crossover
Beginning in the mid 90s there was a conscious effort in intermixing the Virgin New Adventures universe with the Doctor Who magazine comic strip stories. These stories featured Ace (following her stint in the Spacefleet which occurred in the New Adventures between Love and War and Deceit), Bernice Summerfield and the Seventh Doctor.
Later Stories
Following the New Adventures crossover stories the comic strips returned to a Doctor / Ace narrative structure.
