  • Torchwood Convention: The Hub 4 is a 3-day event held on 9th-11th April 2010 at the Park Inn Hotel Northampton.
  • The magazine’s readers voted for composer Ben Foster for the Special Recognition Award for his work on Children of Earth.
  • Mickey Smith and Martha Jones, last seen in Doctor Who leaving the TARDIS with Captain Jack Harkness were intended in early storylines for Children of Earth but prior commitments from the actors made this impossible. However when the Tenth Doctor in The End of Time Part Two visited his ‘family’ to say his goodbye’s, a small scene showed Mickey and Martha, now married, in a conflict with Sontarans.
  • All episodes of Children of Earth received rating exceeding 6 million on their first broadcast on BBC One with additional viewers from BBC HD and BBC3 repeats.
  • Noel Clarke, best known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who, also wrote Series One’s Combat.
  • In the episode Combat the internet search engine, Search-wise.net, tfirst seen in Doctor Who’s comeback episode Rose, made a reappearance.
