Gordon Seavers was a former pupil at the University of Oxford.
Biography
Gordon studied natural science for two years under Professor Sowerden. He was married to Mary Seavers. Gordon was blackmailed by Richard Harries who knew that Gordon had published the works of a dead pupil from Oxford, under his name. This caused him to commit suicide, stabbing himself with a letter opener. John Hopkinson found the body and took a letter from the scene.
Inspector Hetton was assigned to his case; he passed it on to Inspector Ian Stratford.
