Carmen Silvera (2nd June 1922-3rd August 2002) played Clara the Clown, Mrs. Wiggs, and the Queen of Hearts in The Celestial Toymaker, and played Ruth in Invasion of the Dinosaurs. Outside Doctor Who, she is probably best known for playing Edith Artois in the long -running comedy series, 'Allo!, 'Allo!. Silvera died from cancer in 2002.
