*This Fantastic First issue had free transfers selotaped to the cover that could be used on Dave Gibbon's full-colour page panoras on the inside cover.
*The photo-file feature on William Hartnell carries a note that reads "to the memory of whom this first issue is respectfully dedicated."
*After noticing the popularity of Doctor Who related content in the Marvel Uk magazine Starburst, the then editor Dez Skin created Doctor Who Weekly.
*The comic strips were to be treated as serious science-fiction and not juvenille adventures as with Polystyles TV Comic.
*Unlike previous Doctor Who comic strips the lead character was to be referred to as `the Doctor' and not `Doctor Who'.
