Ixta was an Aztec warrior in the 15th century. He was set to take command of the Aztec army until the appearance of the First Doctor and his companions. Ian Chesterton was chosen to compete with him for command of the army. Working with Tlotoxl , he strove to dispatch of The Doctor and his companions. He was killed by Ian after being thrown from the top of a temple in one-on-one combat.
