The TARDIS Index File's Vandalism and unhelpful content policy is continually evolving and being updated, below are some guidelines.
Vandalism
If a user creates a page of obvious vandalism e.g: swearing; "fill in empty links"; etc, one of the following actions should occur:
- If they are an unregistered user their IP should be blocked for upwards of 3 months.
- If the user is registered they should be blocked for upwards of 6 months.
If a user alters/edits/removes all content from the page in a deliberate form of vandalism then one of the following actions should occur:
- If they are an unregistered user their IP should be blocked for upwards of 6 months.
- If the user is registered they should be blocked for upwards of 1 year.
Unhelpful content and Unintentional Vandalism
Unhelpful content and unintentional vandalism are articles which do not serve a purpose and have no information or are incredibly sparse in information. (exactly what this amounts to is decided on a case by case basis).
A warning such as:
- "Please do not add unhelpful or unconstructive content. If you continue to in your actions you may be blocked from the TARDIS Index File for [amount of time]."
This warning should be placed within the user's talk page with a link to the page(s) as an example, also in order to assist the user the {{Welcome}} should be present along with examples other pages similar to the offending page.

This section relates to users altering other user's personal pages, be it their User page, or posts in the Forum.
In both cases other users should not change or adjust anything that has been written by individual users in their personal pages, if a user believes something is wrong, inflammatory or otherwise offensive a message should be placed in the user's talk page, or a message in an Admin's talk page making them aware of the problem.
If a user persists in altering another user's personal pages, the user may be blocked for a period upwards of 2 hours until an understanding can be achieved.
