Dynil was an Antarian scientist, and the last survivor of his race. When his home planet was destroyed by the Valerons, he hid on board one of their ships and came to Valerus. As their prisoner, he delivered food to the Third Doctor and Liz Shaw and, befriending them, helped them to escape.
