This article needs a big cleanup.

Info from The Visual Dictionary is out of universe. Thus, most of what's presently here belongs in a behind the scenes section.

These problems might be so great that the article's factual accuracy has been compromised. Talk about it here or check the revision history or Manual of Style for more information.

This topic might have a better name.

Article better named Sycorax spaceship, as that's the only name ever given in narratives.

Talk about it here.

The Fire Trap was the asteroid on which the Sycorax originated in the JX82 system. It was composed mainly of rock and ice, with very little in the way of natural resources such as metals. The tribes lived just below the surface of the asteroid. When an unidentified spaceship collided with the asteroid, the Sycorax stole the engines of the ship and fitted them within the asteroid, using it as a spaceship. (Doctor Who: The Visual Dictionary)

Though the exact size of the ship was unknown, it was large enough to cast a huge shadow over London.

On Christmas Day, 2006, the Sycorax came to Earth in the Fire Trap. It was later destroyed by Torchwood on the orders of Harriet Jones. (DW: The Christmas Invasion)
