Heya :)  In restructuring the way we handle stubs, I"Ve noticed that you seem to have developed a habit of simply adding stub categories to pages, completely bypassing the use of templates.  This is undesirable for two reasons:
#Readers can't easily see that the article is a stub
#It makes maintenance much more difficult than it needs to be
The second point is particularly important to remember.  If you use the template {{tl|character stub}}, the category is automatically added to the page.  This means that if we ever have a need to ''change'' the category, we'd just make a one-line change in the template code, and all the pages that had the template would change over instantly.  Note, though, the important qualifier there:  '''all the pages that had the template'''.  Since a number of pages on which you've worked, including [[skin suit]], [[Angboda]] and others, don't have the template, I have to manually edit those pages to change the categories over.  So, please, remember to use stub templates, not stub categories.  Thanks :) {{user:CzechOut/Sig}}&nbsp;<span style="{{User:CzechOut/TimeFormat}}">'''21:44:26 Thu&nbsp;'''07 Apr 2011&nbsp;</span>

Style

Please remember to write articles in-universe, that is, instead of saying "X happened during the events of Y.", say "X was an event that yadda yadda yadda. (PF: Y)" ~ Ghelæ -talk-contribs 15:49, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi Rufus

I've only just learnt how to view page histories for changes, and am getting quite excited at the thought that bio-data on rather obscure comic strip story characters may have come to light! I can only assume thats why you've created red links! Is there something I've missed?? The Librarian 23:37, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Content removal/deletion

When removing all content (ie from pages/categories) than will then require deletion, could you please put {{proposed deletion}} on the page, just so admins know to delete it it (rather than it just disappearing into the page structure some where. --Tangerineduel 14:22, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Categories

While some of your additions are ok, it's generally established that a category should have more than one entry to justify its creation. --Tangerineduel 17:17, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the correction

That was a dumb mistake. -- Q1712 17:41, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Assistance with a discussion on forum

Hi, I'd value your input/discussion on this topic in the forums Forum:Italics or Quotation marks?, I'm not comfortable making a ruling solely based on a running conversation between myself and CzechOut and would value other regular editors' points of view on this issue. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 06:29, June 24, 2010 (UTC)

Best practices with stubs

Heya :) In restructuring the way we handle stubs, I"Ve noticed that you seem to have developed a habit of simply adding stub categories to pages, completely bypassing the use of templates. This is undesirable for two reasons:

  1. Readers can't easily see that the article is a stub
  2. It makes maintenance much more difficult than it needs to be

The second point is particularly important to remember. If you use the template {{character stub}}, the category is automatically added to the page. This means that if we ever have a need to change the category, we'd just make a one-line change in the template code, and all the pages that had the template would change over instantly. Note, though, the important qualifier there: all the pages that had the template. Since a number of pages on which you've worked, including skin suit, Angboda and others, don't have the template, I have to manually edit those pages to change the categories over. So, please, remember to use stub templates, not stub categories. Thanks :)
