Early visit to Amy by The Doctor
The Wiki says (April 2010) that The Doctor promises to return in five minutes to the young Amy, then re-appears 12 years later. But at the end of the episode, just before he returns to the older Amy, he pops off to test drive the newly altered Tardis - and we see young Amy sitting waiting, the morning after he first met her, and hear the Tardis engine. When he returns to older Amy (oops, two years later) he says he made a quick trip round the moon. Which older Amy doesn't seem to know about.
Could this be a clue to older Amy not being the same one as seen at the start of the episode/series? And not knowing about the Daleks.
It's that crack in the wall, isn't it.

I think Amy only was dreaming on the night before her wedding that the Doctor came back for her when she was 7, because she could kinda sense he was coming back for her (or somthing like that) MidnightCat 20:41, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
I'm inclined to agree with MidnightCat, but seeing some of the clips from the next episode make me wonder what's going on. We'll find out tomorrow. But there was something interesting relating to her lack of memory..."What did you tell me when I was seven?" Interesting...Musedae 23:00, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
Dr John, you are thinking along the same 'lines' that I am. I personally think that the Daleks created her, just like they created the professor in "Victory of the Daleks". I think that *12* years didn't actually go by (since they never said what year he first landed in Amy's garden). When the grown 'Amy' said that Amelia Pond had been gone for 6 months, I think she was telling us the 'truth' (hidden right before our eyes!). Amy mentioned to the Professor that she understood what he was going through, really understood. (???) I think that the Daleks saw during Victory of the Daleks how the Doctor would choose to save the Earth before chasing them down (of course) and that they went back in time to plant 'Amy'. Since Karen is slated to come back in the next series, that something similar to what happened with the Professor (to 'make' him human) will happen during the series finale and she will come back 'okay'. Is this making sense to anyone? :-) I've watched, and re-watched (several times) each of the episodes this series and nothing about Amy feels right. Signed MommyTorres
"I personally think that the Daleks created her" :O Do you really think the daleks could create an android so sexy? ;)Da bad adder 20:29, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

- I'm surprised that folks were so quick to toss the deletion banner up, considering the news was everywhere including the Doctor Who News Page and the BBC itself. 23skidoo 14:58, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
Date of Birth
What source is used for her date of birth? Chiroptera Rex 00:05, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
Source re: alien
This one's funny. It was actually a joke published by DWIN, but it seems to have been picked up as fact in some places. I'll add a source to straighten things out. Since this was posted by a major fan organization, plus I have seen some people taking the "Wolf Weed" thing as being fact, I think mentioning it and indicating that it's just a joke is important. I even nearly fell for it (I did not see this original posting, which is clearly a josh). 23skidoo 17:22, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think "Hoax" is a bit strong, because hoaxes are intended to mislead the public. DWIN's joke, once you looked at it, was obvious as they used images of K9 from the 70s and a few other references. I'm going to change the heading to "Practical Joke". DWIN's error was in the timing; this would have been a perfect April Fool's joke. 23skidoo 02:54, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Soothsayer Connection
They did this with alot when multiple characters are portrayed by one actor, Martha and the Cyberized woman being "cousins" and Gwen and her ancestor from the the 1800's. If Russel was still doing the shows I wouldn't put it passed him to have a throw away line like "You wouldn't happen to be greek?" wish Moffat could do something cooler than that though. - DontEatRawHagis
- Most likely, it may be subtly mentioned in the episode(s) that will feature the vampires, confirmed on the Doctor Who website trailer http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/newyear/ and on a Doctor Who fan blog which has rumoured the title Vampires of Venice before the trailer aired.http://lifetheuniverseandcombom.blogspot.com/2009/11/doctor-who-series-5-episode-titles.html Additionally, the rumoured title and the trailer both have a setting that has similar look to the episode, The Fires of Pompeii. | JamesWho
- Given the makeup used on the soothsayers, it's unlikely that there will be any reference to Amy being related to them as their features are unrecognisable. You can't tell that it's Karen Gillan playing the soothsayer.
Maybe there is some connection. After all, there is rumor about Rory re-appearing as roman soldier. If she disappears in some crack too, this might be her after all... -- TakeruDavis 14:00, June 5, 2010 (UTC)
Rumours
Could we maybe get some protection on this page, to stop unregistered users leaving weird unconfirmed speculation like she will be Donna Noble's cousin. I also think she should be added to the Companions list on the main toolbar <<< . Similarly, shouldn't the Eleventh Doctor appear on The Doctor section on the toolbar <<< ? -- Will101 21:27, September 1, 2009 (UTC)
When is the protection gonna get taken off? I'm unregistered but that doesn't mean I'm gonna mention Donna Noble's cousin.

Amy Pond is River Song
Policewoman outfit
I removed a reference to Amy arresting the Doctor. We don't know what the context of that outfit is, and unless she's in the vice squad, that short skirt is decidedly not regulation. It could just as easily be some form of costume. I did add a reference to the shorts/leggings because a pattern does seem to be emerging in all of the location photos that have been published so far, ranging from the first episode of the series (with the police outfit) to presumably later episodes (like the first one filmed in July). 23skidoo 12:02, October 28, 2009 (UTC)
- Once again, I removed the reference to her arresting the Doctor. Unless someone has managed to see the episode in question, we can't state this. If someone connected with the production - an actor, a writer - has indicated this, then it needs a source. We also once again don't know if this is a real uniform (although it does look more like the genuine article in the photo included in the Telegraph link I posted, though I still doubt whether her skirt is regulation unless she's Vice). 23skidoo 18:39, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
Its possible she is in a police uniform from a different time, but we should wait for some confirmation. lottie01 11:20, January 17, 2010 (UTC)
She's in a police outfit as her job required her to have lots of skimpy costumes. In the episode Eleventh Hour it is stated that she is a kissagram(sombody who goes to parties in sexy costumes and kisses people) much to the docotors disgust when he found out as he always knew her as 'little Amelia Pond. The police costume was used to scare the doctor so he would give her answers she even pretended to 'call for backup'
21st Century or 1995?
I keep hearing that the Eleventh Doctor will meet Amy in 1995, but her time perdiod is down as the 21st century on the wiki. The setting of the filming pictures themselves hint that it will be 1995. Post offices appear to be in common use, whereas nearly everything is done through machines in the 21st century; before the 2000s came along, a lot of things were done through post offices, not machines. The filming pictures all seem to show a 90s setting, lacking machines and having the use of a post office instead. There is very few post offices even around anymore in the 21st century. Though there are still some, so it may be a bit of a stetch to say post office = set in the 90s. Delton Menace 19:23, December 5, 2009 (UTC) - This would be a blessing honestly, if it does turn out to be true. I like the idea of having a character a few years removed from current times, good way to play 'surprise at the future' to even stuff we're used to. Also, grunge-era dress sense! Awesome. Ponk 07:23, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
- There's a lack of machines, 90s setting etc because it was a tiny little village in the middle of nowhere. Aliyoda 19:02, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
- I also wonder if it's not premature to state with 100% certainty things like she's from Earth and human. While likely to be the case, there's always the chance it could end up being something different. I still say that police uniform looks too weird to be an official one (suggesting a possible Ford Prefect scenario, maybe?). Obviously we'll know pretty soon, but it might be premature to jump to some conclusions. This is Doctor Who, after all. ;) 23skidoo 14:47, January 6, 2010 (UTC)
- The police uniform wasn't an official one - she's a kissogram - not a police officer! Aliyoda 19:02, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
I am hoping her era will be 1995, too. As for who she is, she is seen as being pretty damn human in the trailers... has a boyfriend and everything, and meets the Doctor. What were police woman uniforms like in the mid 1990s, anyway? Or she might just be an officer in training. Either way, I like her legs, so I'm not complanining. Ahem, anyways, I'm keeping my fingers cross for the 1995 setting, I loved that era: fat computers, black-and-white brick phones, and post offices still existed. ;) Delton Menace 15:05, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
- From what I heard, she first meets him in 1995, as a child, and then in 2010 as an adult. -- Noneofyourbusiness 14:11, January 17, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, thanks for the info. :) Well, then series 5 spans 2010 for present day Earth. I guess the timeline really is in sync with us now: he meets her as an adult in 2010, and othe repisodes have dialouge saying 2010. Delton Menace 11:47, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
Accent
Does anyone have a source for the rumor about the accent? If not, it should probably be deleted until we get to hear her speak in character. 23skidoo 21:29, January 6, 2010 (UTC)
I hope she does have a scottish accent and not do what david tennat did which was when he did interviews he sounded scottish, but when he played the doctor he sounded english which was to me a dissapointment as if he did not want to be scottish. --Catkind121 14:14, February 8, 2010 (UTC)
It says a recent trailer shows her accent to be English. In the trailer I've seen, she has the most Scottish accent I've ever heard.
- I deleted the whole thing about the accent. The fact is, we'll know immediately when we see The Eleventh Hour. So there's no need for speculation. For the record, though, I thought it was an entirely Scottish accent in the second trailer. But whatever. Totally useless point to be on the article right now. Don't know why people wanna write these things so far ahead of time anwyay. Were it up to me, this article would read, "Amy Pond was the first companion of the Eleventh Doctor," — and that'd be it right now. I'd heartily recommend people don't spend any more time on this article until The Eleventh Hour comes out. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 18:12, March 2, 2010 (UTC)
To me the accent sounded like one from Bristol. And as I come from *fairly* near there, I'm used to hearing it. But I agree with CzechOut, and think we should leave all speculation or whatever until The Eleventh Hour. -- Will101 16:47, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. So far all we have to go on is the 3-D trailer, and it's really hard to tell from the few words of dialogue she utters. Also, as the various clips on Youtube of her on the Kevin Bishop Show attest, she's another master of accents like Catherine Tate, so she could sound like anyone when DW gets going. 23skidoo 04:28, March 8, 2010 (UTC)
Engaged
When she met the Doctor for the second time (in what we're saying is 2008), was she engaged to Rory, or was that sometime between 2008-2010? Tardis1963 04:49, April 4, 2010 (UTC)
He was only her "sort of" boyfriend in 2008, I think. In the confidential Steven Moffat, Karen Gillan and the actor that plays Rory all said somthing along the same lines - that Rory grew up in the shadow of Amy's "raggedy doctor", and that when they were kids Amy gave him hell over other imaginary things such as the tooth fairy and Santa, which she no longer beleived in. Maybe over the next two years, after Amy had met the Doctor for the second time and put the prisoner zero thing to rest their relasionship improved up to the point of getting married. Only to be ruined by the Doctor again! : ) MidnightCat 20:45, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
Ruined by the doctor? hopefully;) ----a pro raggedy doctor+amy together fan.
Hmmm...definitely we don't want Rory and Amy married(He isn't quite right for her and besides she has had 14 years to grow an fascination to the doctor (she made cartoons and dolls of him) BUT on the other hand, we don't want Rory feeling left out or anything as he's so funny and nice. we'll see. ahh, speculating is fun :)Da bad adder 21:12, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
Amy's engagement
Why is it now assumed that Amy is engaged to Rory Williams? There is no evidence for this.
True.
- Well, in the actual episode (and during the second visit of the doctor) she introduces him and he emphasizes that he's her boyfriend. So, following simple logic and ignoring the possibility that things could have changed, it would make sense that 2 years later (during the third visit of the doctor) they are engaged and would have married. As I said, the theory ignores the possibility that for some reason she could be engaged to someone else. LBurk (no brain, no pain) 21:17, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I think the key to your sentence is the word "he". He emphasizes, she de-emphasizes. He also has an extreme reaction to the mention of Jeff. So there's the possibility, as of 14:40, April 7, 2010 (UTC), that Jeff might be in the picture as well. Or at the very least, Jeff might have been in the picture at one point. Sure there are all sorts of rumors swirling around, and of course Rory's presence has been detected on location shoots, and he's in the season trailers far more than Jeff. But we really need to be super-cautious here. Unless the episode actually says something, we can't assume anything. It's just like the accent thing. We got pre-broadcast trailers/scenes where Amy had an English accent. And it turns out, in the episode she did have an English accent for a decent length of time. But that English accent turned out to be an affectation the character was putting on to disguise her Scottishness. The only things we know at this point are that she was in an unequal relationship with Rory at one point, and two years later she's got a wedding dress. Sure, they could be engaged, but there are other possibilities, too. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 14:40, April 7, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, I think you're right with the caution at that point. We can at least summarize which known facts speak for which speculation (emphasizing the "speculation" thingy). I just wanted to throw in that Rory was confirmed to be a recurring character, so he might become the new Micky/Ricky... of sorts. But I guess instead of throwing in theories and other brain-spam, I'll just wait what the next 2-3 episodes will tell us :) LBurk (no brain, no pain) 02:15, April 8, 2010 (UTC)
There's no point speculating - The episodes are telling us all we need to know, for the moment: that Amy is getting married. We'll find out who to soon.
No point speculating? Hehe, speculation is one of the funnest things in wiki's :DDa bad adder 21:16, May 22, 2010 (UTC)
Evidence That Even "Grown" Amy's Adventure Is Set in the Past
There are a variety of pieces of evidence scattered through "The Eleventh Hour" indicating that the older Amy the Doctor encounters on his returns lives more than a decade removed from present day, most likely in the early to mid-90s.
First, and most telling: Rory's hospital ID badge says it was issued in 1990. He's certainly not old enough to have worked there for 20+ years. Even if you are inclined to write this off as an error...
Second, all of the cars seen in the episode are '90s models or older. This would be an extremely odd production choice unless it means something. Paired with the ID badge...
no, at least 2 cars (a ford mondeo in the hospital parking lot, and a hyundai santa fe in the "doctor vision" scene behind prisoner zero) are from 2007
Considerably more circumstantial, but still interesting is the kissogram job Amy has. Yes, they are still around, but haven't they been less and less common for the last 20-ish years?
There are some issues with this theory, of course: advanced laptops, Facebook, Blackberries. However, all of the anachronous technology to this theoryis of a telecommunications bent, and many of them bore the conspicuously prominent logo of the fictitious company "Myth."
Add in the bit from the third ep about Amy not remembering the Daleks (which she should if she lived through the 2000s) and it starts to get the wheels turning.
We'll probably find out why she doesn't remember the daleks in later episodes, and maybe they'll mention her home period also.
Moffat has specifically said that the date on Rory's ID badge means nothing. He never even glanced at it. "I have never actually looked at Rory's name tag to be completely honest with you . . . it's not a significant plot thing." ―Steven Moffat at the SoHo Apple Store. And to address the "90s models or older" it's already been mentioned that there are two 2007 cars, and we have to remember that this is Leadsworth, which is obviously a small town, and has a small town feel. You don't see too many 2010 Ferrari's in small town England, do you? I don't think so. The kissogram was Moffat's idea, because he wanted to make the new companion "sexy" and exciting. I have a source for that, somewhere...Anyway. It's pretty much confirmed by the various technology that this is definitely 2009, if not later. She is 21 years old, since it's 14 years after she first met the Doctor (at age 7, which we know because she says it at the beginning of the second episode), and if we are going with her date of birth being in 1989, that sets us firmly in the year 2010. All of this evidence is extremely circumstantial and unsubstantiated. Musedae 19:17, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe the badge was just a production error. besides lots of people like old style cars! it's also possible that it is a '90's town or is just very rural and not as developed as other towns. That does happen sometimes.LOTS121Kara:) 14:20, August 11, 2010 (UTC)
Amelia's age
The main part of the article says Amy was 11 when she first met the Doctor. Key Life Events says she was 7. So which is it? 23skidoo 14:28, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
My name is Amy Pond. When I was 7 I had an imaginary friend. - Amy in The Beast Below. '
in the article it says that amy pond was 7 in 1996 when she first met the doctor and she was born in 1989. The problem is that it says later on that she was mad at him being gone for 12 years instead of 5 minutes but if he was gone for twelve years after 1996 it shouldn't be 2010 it should be 2008. The reason we know its 2010 is because at the end of Flesh and Stone on the alarm clock and the device the doctor had said the wedding day was 26 06 2010, think that was the right month. and it would also mean she would be married at ninteen but if she was born in 1989 and married in 2010 she should be 21.
...No. He was gone for 5 minutes / 12 years, and came back in 2008. Then, he returned on the night before her wedding, which was, guess what, TWO YEARS LATER. "All that stuff, that crazy stuff...that was TWO. YEARS. AGO." She is 21 years old, she is getting married, and it's been 14 years since fish custard. Do your math. Musedae 14:18, May 2, 2010 (UTC)
Amy Pond Picture and Low-Level Sonic Wave Discharger
Why is the Amy Pond picture so big??? Also how come there isn't an article on the Low-Level Sonic Wave Discharger which the Eleventh Doctor used by modifying his Sonic Screwdriver by adding a Wave Reducer (the alternation of a Wave Amplifier) and a red diode which reduced the potential of the Sonic's sound waves to release a low-level signal to the Dalek Progenitor to cause it to drain small factors of the New Dalek's technology (However, we are yet to see what happens to this technology) in Victory of the Daleks. The light also changes from green to red like the diode does.
Someone edited the page earlier and put a new picture in. I'm going to go fix that now. It's WAY too big. Musedae 19:21, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Amy is "Little Red Riding Hood"
I've noticed a lot of "nods" to little red riding hood in the first five episodes of series 5. First there is the obvious allusion to fairy tales/myths. Then there are the specific references. What big eyes you have. What big teeth you have. Furthermore, in "Flesh and Stone" Amy is seen in the woods wearing a red shirt which gathers at the back, somewhat resembling a hood. So here's hoping that the end result is a re-writing of time, and a question: Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
OK, well spotted. Liz 10 also wore a hooded red cloak. Also, what about the danger of talking to strangers and of entering the forest which is filled with something nasty... so how about this: River is the wicked witch from The Wizard of Oz, cos those are great red shoes, so maybe she actually stole them, making her Dorothy? Does that make Rory the cowardly lion and Jeff the Scarecrow, so who is the Tin Man ? (yep, pun intended!) 86.26.137.154 07:48, May 3, 2010 (UTC)

The Suicide
So in Victory of the Daleks Amy talks the suicidal android Edwin out of killding himself. Well the lines that she used suggest that maybe she herself due to her parents death or being lonely lead her to being suicidal , remember the scene from Amy's Choice that she drastically (I know Rory died and all and she never told him she loved him) goes and drives into her cottage. This action was very prepared and it seemed that she had these emotions before because she was so ready to do them. Somebody give me their theories as well so I dont think our lovely Pond has a few issues.

So what if she does? It doesn't make her a bad person. She's brave, clever and compassionate, and she's learning - through her travels with the Doctor - that there's more to life than Leadworth. I'm not saying I'm sure she's got issues as I don't think she has (she's just had a hard life and it's damaged her, making her inwardly angry, maybe) just that if she has it doesn't matter. MidnightCat 17:34, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
I've dealt with suicide myself for the past several years and in the past year have been in a more serious situation with it, and if they wrote Amy to have come over that issue then I support them because its a brave thing to do on a children's tv show. also i probably just recognize this part of the character and identify it with myself and I'm not saying issues as a bad thing 'cause everyone has them and makes us everyone more interesting and better people, like how Amy helped edwin and how shes smart brave, compassionate and clever.

- Please don't discuss this topic here. This is speculation and belongs in the forums. The Thirteenth Doctor 19:49, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- most of the things on here resemble speculation; ex. little red riding hood, which i like by the way, and who made you the discussion cop?Meggtkelly 20:00, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Yes most of them are, and should not be happening here. This page is for discussing changes to the article. If you want, you can start a new topic in the Howling. As for who made me the discussion cop... no-one. All I do is abide by the rules. I'm more like a vigilante. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:30, June 8, 2010 (UTC)
Amy Pond is..
I know Moffat wanted to remove the Davies Era but, since there's all them rumours about the third floor of her house being a secret TARDIS, I INSTANTLY thought, maybe she could be The Doctors Daughter? cause she is alive and well, she still has 12 regenerations left, it would explain why Amy Pond is in series 6 (apparently) so yeah, tell me if you think this could be possible :o Hennessehh 22:16, June 21, 2010 (UTC)
Amelia is an anagram of "am a lie"
Just thought I'd point that out. It wouldn't be the first time anagrams have been significant in Doctor Who. 111.69.242.66 11:39, June 23, 2010 (UTC)
Amy Pond anagram
What about Space Maladies Join? That could easily mean somthing, couldn't it?
Amy Pond anagram
Just saying, but for Space maledies join, it would have to be Amelia Jessica Pond
Amy Williams or Amy Pond
Shouldn't this article be called Amy Williams not Amy Pond as she married Rory Williams? If so we should include a redirect for Amy Pond.
The-captain 08:51, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
I would go for Amy Williams; as obviously if she marries Rory Williams, she is Amy Williams. However, there is no actual source or speech to base that on. Best bet is to wait until Christmas. 80.0.209.241 15:35, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Dont make changes either way until confirmed: Gwen Cooper never got her surname changed. - I. Am. Excalibur-117-(talk • contribs) 15:43, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Amy Pond is still Amy Pond. If anything, Rory's article should be re-named to Rory Pond.
- Don't change either of the articles. Have Amy Williams redirect here, and have Rory Pond redirect to Rory's page. The Thirteenth Doctor 17:24, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
For all we know, she kept her own name. Is it legal for the groom the take the bride's name? (if it's not, it should be) The Doctor seemed to suggest that Rory is Rory Pond. All questions will probably be answered in the Christmas special and 2011 series, through what the characters call each other and what is written on the credits and so on. In the meantime, keep the titles the same. MidnightCat 18:19, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Well, yeah, The Doctor seemed to want Amy to keep the name Pond. Whether Rory changes his name to Pond or not is unknown at the moment so wait intil the next episode(s). User:Solar Dragon/Signature 18:21, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Amy is portrayed as a fiercly independent woman and the one who wears the trousers in the rory/amy relationship so my opinion is she would retain the surname pond - but with regards to changing anything it should remain as amy pond rather than amy williams as nthing has been confirmed. remember women can keep their maiden names 217.42.57.54 18:42, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
Richard Z. Kruspe, guitarist for the German rock band Rammstein, changed his surname to Bernstein after he married his wife, named Caron Bernstein. Even though it is not common in Britain, it is perfectly acceptable for Rory to take Pond as his surname - even if he changes his name by deed poll. 95.148.156.159 01:33, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
The notion of a woman taking her husband's last name can no longer be assumed. That's been fact for decades. We had this same runaround with Gwen Cooper, and the only thing sillier is taking the Doctor's "Rory Pond" joke seriously. If the writers decree that Amy takes Rory's last name, then cool. But until that happens, it ain't happening. Keep an eye on the next set of BBC novels which feature Rory -- assuming they take place post-Big Bang -- and see what the writers do. And even then, the TV series is the absolute authority so when Christmas comes along check Radio Times and see what name they give Amy for the special. 68.146.81.123 22:05, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
Cleanup
Portions of the article are written in present tense, and will need to be changed to past tense. In addition, too much unnecessary information is included. Tardis1963 04:57, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Other name for amy
A roman calls amy "the girl with the red hair".
None of the Rory events happened???
Since the article is locked I could not remove the following statement: "Due to being erased from history by a Time Field, none of the above events involving Rory happened." There is nothing in The Big Bang that supports this. Rory regains his memories at the end. There's nothing to suggest that the events of Vampires of Venice or the Silurian two-parter (and, by extension, Vincent and the Doctor which was a direct lead-on from his death) occurred. If a later episode establishes these events were not, also, put back in time (along with everything else) then such a statement is warranted. But as it stands it's supposition not supported by on-screen facts. 68.146.81.123 22:00, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
- I just rewatched Big Bang and when the TARDIS returns at the wedding you can hear Rory talk about the Doctor being at his stag. That pretty much proves that the statement about "the above events" needs to be removed as inaccurate. 68.146.81.123 16:20, July 7, 2010 (UTC)
Also Known As
I have claned up the Also Known As section. Names such as "Amy", "Pond" and "Miss Pond" are not seperate names, they are just standard variations on her actual name. If this was a wikipedia article for lets say David McDonald, it would not state he also known as "Dave", "David" or "Mr McDonald". "The Girl Who Waited" is not really an alias so I have removed this name as well. "The Girl Who Didn't Mae Sense" is the same, however, I don't think anyone ever actually called her that the closest we get is the Doctor saying things like "Doesn't it ever bother you that your life doesn't make any sens?", which effectily makes it a made up alias! Can we not go mental on these "Also Known As" section, it was the same on Doc11's page. Looq 15:44, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Whilst I agree that "The Girl Who Didn't Make Sense" and "Amy" and "Pond" shouldn't be there, same reasons as you said, I do think that "The Girl Who Waited" should be. When I came here unregistered a while back, it was an Alias section for aliases, so I removed the nicknames. Although it was an alias section before, it is no longer an alias section, it is now an Also Known As section, which includes nicknames etc. This would include "The Girl Who Waited". Not only that, but it goes hand in hand with Rory's "The Boy Who Waited". It should be there. The Thirteenth Doctor 16:40, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- Sounds fair to me. =D Looq 20:30, July 10, 2010 (UTC)
- I think Pond should be in this section, seeing as she is only referred to as "The Girl Who Waited" once or twice, same with most of the other names here (spare Amy ofcourse) but the Doctor calls her Pond regularly and refers to two of them as "Ponds" on one occasion.
Remove "Amy Williams" from infobox
Until the TV series confirms that she has changed her name, it is simply wrong to list "Amy Williams" as a married name. Precedent: Gwen Cooper and many modern-day married women. In fact the Big Bang episode itself strongly indicates she'll keep the Pond name given the statement about Rory becoming "Mr. Pond" (though that part's a joke). Also the closing credits for the episode identify the character as Amy Pond. That's as definitive as you can get. If there's evidence to the contrary -- a magazine article, or a statment by Moffat, etc., let's have a source. 68.146.81.123 05:36, July 11, 2010 (UTC)
Frankly, "Mr. Pond" wasnt a joke. Rory actually AGREED that, if either of them were to change their name, it would be him, although this DOES NOT say anything about whether or not this will happen. If he DID change his name, it would be in the credits, and since I can't check (I live in the US, but yes, I understand ALL the events of TBB (The Big Bang)) can someone else? This will confirm (mostly) whether or not he will change his name. Still, obviously, Amy will not. Therefore, this needs to be changed.

Also known as
With Amy and Auton Rory, these catgories seem a bit clogged to me. I mean, Amy isn't known as "The Girl Who Didn't Make Sense" and Auton Rory isn't known as "Sword Man" - these are comments used once as descriptors - especially in Amy's case, since the Doctor already knows her by another name. I would think more actual aliases or they are called by others. "The Lone Centurian" makes perfect sense. "John Smith" and "The Oncoming Storm" make sense for the Doctor. Nicknames make sense. I just think a few of these are stretching, is all.207.171.242.66 01:43, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
- Read the section with the exact same title above. The Thirteenth Doctor 12:39, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
TARDIS Key
Has anyone else noticed that the Doctor is yet to give Amy a key to the TARDIS?
Perhaps this could tie into The Voice as an element of Amy's subconscious, it has been stated that she has had "the whole Universe pouring into her head" it could also incorporate the Anti-Matter Universe and serve a link to the rumoured Omega return. Just a theory. The TARDIS key being the way the Voice enters the TARDIS.
Key Life Events
Just to say, her adventure in The Beast Below is not mentioned in her Key Life Events section.
No more Amy Williams-ing, please?
I removed "(later Amy Williams)" from the page. Her name is definately staying Amy Pond, thank god. You can check for yourselves - she's bailed on the credits as Amy Pond. Plus the Doctor constantly refers to she and Rory as "the Ponds" and "Mr and Mrs Pond", so if anything, he's taken her name. Sorry, but it sort of anoys me that there are people assume Amy will take Rory's name purely because she's a woman. I'm not calling you people sexist or anything; I'm just saying you need to keep a broader outlook on things. MidnightCat 20:00, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
There was no suggestion of this but you can hardly take the Doctor's word as gospel. Rory seemed pretty certain he was not Pond after his wedding. This happened before with people saying there was no proof that Gwen Cooper took Rhys Williams' name.----Skittles the hog--Talk 20:03, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Which is fair enough, but the names used in the closing credits are gospel. 68.146.78.43 14:54, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
Please remove "pregnant wife" reference in the lead paragraph
Unless someone has seen a future episode, there is nothing to yet support that she is pregnant. The ending of Day of the Moon shows both positive and negative on the scan, so we do not know. Also, even if she is pregnant, this is not a permanent condition, so therefore should not be referenced in the introduction to the character. Someone with editing rights please remove it; the pregnancy can be discussed elsewhere in the article. 68.146.78.43 14:52, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
Unchronicled Events
We know that both of the unchronicled events take place Before/After the Big Bang, respectively, one set immediately afterward. Therein, should these not be among the article as opposed to in a seperate, redundant section?
