History

Dalek numbers had been greatly reduced by the war with the Movellans. In response, the Daleks, led by the Supreme Dalek at that time, hired human or Near-human mercenaries. The Dalek Troopers bolstered their ranks with mind controlled Duplicates such as Stien.

One squadron of troopers were hired as auxiliaries to assist in the rescue of Davros, who humans had imprisoned in suspended animation. This group Troopers' commanding officer, Lytton, disagreed with the approach to the overall strategy, but did their duties to their masters. The company took casualties from the rogue members of the crew of Davros' prison, while others were subverted to Davros' cause. Eventually they were betrayed by the Supreme Dalek, and of his group, all but Lytton were killed in a battle on Earth circa 1984. (DW: Resurrection of the Daleks)

Technology

Dalek Troopers wore armor and helmets that had highlights similar to Dalek casings, but the armor was not resistant against Dalek weapons, nor even against human sidearms. Their uniforms were black and grey with either red or yellow markings. The troopers were armed with a rifle-type of blaster that fit completely over one hand. (DW: Resurrection of the Daleks)
