I am left very confused as to why River Song is in Prison now.
It was clear before that she is in jail because she killed a good man (assumed to be The Doctor). Given the Clerics were to pardon her (or at least reduce the sentence) for her contribution in the Time of Angels, it looks logical that the Clerics are the people imprisoning her.
Yet it now looks like the Clerics want The Doctor dead. Why would the Clerics imprison the person who completed the mission they wanted? Why didn't they use the Angels to finish the job?
