A Spitfire was a type of aeroplane used by the British during World War II.
Winston Churchill sent three Spitfires into space to fight the Dalek ship. The Spitfires managed to fly into space with the help of a Gravity bubble and were armed with laser weapons, based on technology created by Dr. Edwin Bracewell.
