Alien was a science fiction movie.

When John Jefferson mentioned the ducts used by maintenance robots that ran under Sanctuary Base 6, Rose Tyler assumed that they were ventilation shafts, to which Jefferson replies "I appreciate the reference". A chase through ventilation shafts was featured in Alien. (DW: The Satan Pit)
