Chris Chibnall is a Doctor Who fan who who later become a writer for both the series and it's spin-off Torchwood. Chibnall also wrote several episodes of Life On Mars.
Chibnal represented part of the Doctor Who Appreciation Socety on the BBC's public opinion show "Points of View" in 1986 criticising the Trial of a Time Lord season and the inconsistent quality of the series. Ironicly, Chinball himself would face fan criticism for many of his Torchwood episodes.
