They refused to believe their scientists' warnings that the arrival of a blue star in their solar system was a threat to them. When the Third Doctor and Liz Shaw arrived, the Valerons captured them, believing them to be Antarian spies. They escaped with the help of the Valerons' prisoner, Dynil.
