Lake Silencio was located in Utah. On 22nd April, 2011, the Eleventh Doctor brought his companions to the lake for a picnic, knowing that his death was to occur there. During the picnic a figure in a vintage space suit from the Apollo program emerged from the lake and shot the Doctor, killing him. His body was placed in a burning boat and pushed into the water (DW: The Impossible Astronaut)
