Commander Steg was the leader of Sontarans invading the Tiger Moth. He was identified by his gold helmet.
Steg led the Sontarans in their search for a Rutan hiding in human spaceships. Despite giving them his word that the crews would not be harmed, he cared nothing for the humans. Invading the Tiger Moth, Steg encountered resistance in Captain Lisa Deranne and Kurt. Steg ordered the ship to be destroyed if it meant killing the Rutan but Kurt and Lisa confronted him.
