Why?: The 'Series Number' area in the infoboxes seems to mean different things to differnt people, depending on who has edited, some people have it as story number, others season/series. I've created both infoboxes as: Template:Infobox ClassicTV and Template:Infobox NewTV, and implemented them on Rose and The End of the World (NewTV) and Silver Nemesis (ClassicTV). --Tangerineduel 05:40, 18 February 2008 (UTC) |

If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.
I've been thinking for a while about updating / altering (minorly) the TV infoboxes for the classic and new series:

What's changed and Why?
Only two things would change is in the classic series infobox Series Number becomes Season Number: and there is the addition of Story Number. For the new series infobox Series Number stays the same, with the addition of Season Number: to the infobox. Additionally for the New Series infobox setting and the responding setting text has been changed to match (to avoid future confusion).
The current infobox (Template:Infobox TV) would continue to serve the classic series (with the changes and additions, though alternatively an infobox could be created called Template:Infobox ClasicTV and slowly changed over) and a new Template:Infobox NewTV would be created to service the new series.
Why?: The 'Series Number' area in the infoboxes seems to mean different things to differnt people, depending on who has edited, some people have it as story number, others season/series. So I'm hoping this will clear everything up. --Tangerineduel 12:57, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
