Stuart Owens was a chief operating officer at PhiCorp. In 2011, he was having an extramarital affair with an administrative assistant, Janet Tanner. He attempted to learn what PhiCorp's involvement with Miracle Day was, reviewing relevant satellite photographs and documents, and asking Zheng Yibao in Shanghai to investigate a potentially important site in the city, but his investigation was unsuccessful. While dining at a restuarant with his wife, Owens was approached by Jack Harkness, who fooled Owens into believing that he had kidnapped Tanner. Owens explained to Harkness that he knew nothing of the Miracle, other than the fact that something called The Blessing was involved. (TW: The Middle Men)
