Jack Ward was a Killingworth miner and the father of Luke Ward. According to Lord Ravensworth, he had never attacked a man in thirty years. The Rani extracted chemicals from his brain, turning him violent. He attacked industrial machinery and the Sixth Doctor. (DW: The Mark of the Rani)
