The Zocci look similar to the Vinvocci. However, the Vinvocci pointed out that they and the Zocci were different, sounding quite annoyed when the Doctor told them about Bannakaffalatta. (DW: The End of Time)
Behind the scenes
- The name of Bannakaffalatta's species was never specified in Voyage of the Damned but was identified by Russell T Davies. The name was confirmed on-screen in The End of Time, by a member of a similar-looking species.
- Russell T Davies suggests the Zocci and Vinvocci might be related species. (CON: Lords and Masters)
