Professor Pierre Vedrun was a French scientist and the father of Monique Vedrun. During World War II, German soldiers under Kapitan Ernst Wolfgang Spiegal forced him to develop a matter transporter for their war effort. Vedrun inadventently invented a prototype that would transport people through time as well as space. When Spiegal discovered this, he planned to use the device to acquire advanced weaponry which would assure a Nazi victory. Vedrun and the Doctor (who had been accidentally transported back in time) were rescued by Marcel Sangenez's resistance group, and together they defeated Spiegal's plans. Vedrun then returned the Doctor to his own time. (TVC: Timebenders)
