Born in Manchester, Jackie was introduced to the Dr Who series by producer John Wiles, with whom she worked in the early years of her career. After leaving Dr Who, Jacki took a break from acting and after working in Paris for a spell in the antique business ended up working as an artist's agent.

  • This week's "Who Cares" letters page includes a letter from one Matthew Waterhouse, only two months before he was contracted to play Adric.[1]
