Mr. Danes was Joshua Naismith's butler. His jobs included opening doors for Naismith and his daughter. Before the Master had been brought into the dining room, he gave Naismith's staff a short lecture, telling them that if the Master was to make the slightest move, he should be shot dead on sight. Later, Mr. Danes was told to feed the Master. The Master finished fixing the Immortality Gate, but he modified it to transform the human race into copies of the Master. Mr. Danes was one of the victims.
