In early 4203, a human exploration ship on a mission to the planet was destroyed. A probe was sent to investigate. At the same time the Daleks fought a battle against the rock monsters in the temple. The Daleks were dwarfed by the creatures,their Dalekanium casings easily destroyed by stone fists. The monsters initially seemed invulnerable to Dalek blasters.
