Captian Hardaker was the captain of the Starship Titanic. He was ordered by Max Capricorn to keep the shields off so that the asteriods would hit the Titanic. He did so but Midshipman Alonzo Frame was about to put them on, so Hardaker shot him. Frame survived but as soon as the ship was hit Hardaker had died. (DW: Voyage of the Damned)
