Biography

Tim attended the Kiss the Boys Goodbye Dance in 1941. There, Toshiko Sato approached him and his friends, asking who was the best navigator. George noted it to be Tim and adding "he can't fly for toffee, but at least when he goes down he'll know exactly where he is".
