Mike Amberry was the writer of the Big Finish Productions Short Trips stories.

Moore was one of the winners of a writing competition held by Big Finish to find new authors. His winning entry, Curiosity, was published in the anthology Short Trips: How the Doctor Changed My Life. He was subsequently commissioned for the story Trial by Fire, published in Short Trips: Indefinable Magic.
