"We ride to destiny."
- Lady Peinforte
Lady Peinforte was a cavalier of Windsor in 1638. She was an expert archer who fought in battle against the roundheads in the name of King Charles I.
In 1638 when a large piece of validium fell to Earth, Lady Peinforte found it and sculpted it into an image of herself holding a bow and arrow, calling it Nemesis. The Doctor found the statue, removed the bow and arrow, and placed it onto the rocket-sled, firing it off into space. Before that, however, the statue told Lady Peinforte of Gallifrey, the Time Lords, and the Dark Times.
Seeking to retreive the statue, she hired a scholor to figure out the date of when the Nemesis, now called the Nemesis Comet, would return to Earth: November 23, 1988. With her servent, Richard Maynard, and by using black magic known to her, they time traveled to Windsor in 1988.
When the comet landed, her and Richard stayed hidden, observing the police, De Flores' Neo-Nazis, and the Cybermen gather, the police having been earlier taken care of by the Cybermen. During a small skirmish between the Nazis and Cybermen, she striked two Cybermen with poison tipped arrows, convinced her poison was perfect, when it was the gold heads of the arrows that really killed them. Spotting the Doctor and Ace escaping the skirmish with the Bow of Nemesis, she fired at them and missed.
Lady Peinforte and her servant made their way to her burial place, where the Cybermen had hidden the statue in her tomb, believing her death would drive her mad. Opening the tomb, Richard was concerned that her bones were not there, but she showed no intrest in it.
Encountering De Flores and his Nazi Commander, Richard gave them the arrow and took Lady Peinforte away, ignoring her complants.
Finally, she made her way to where the Doctor hid the rocket-sled and called the Nemesis to it. The Doctor could give the bow to either her or the Cyber-Leader, when she revealed that she knew her secrets. The Doctor then gave the bow to the Cyber-Leader, offering Lady Peinforte to tell him but the Cyber-Leader expressed no intrest. She was appalled and went mad.
The Doctor having programed the sled, it was about to lift off and meet the Cyber-Fleet when Lady Peinfotre jumped onto the Nemesis and merged with it. In space, the Nemesis exploded, destroying the entire Cyber-Fleet and Lady Peinfotre as well.
