"The Fat One", along with his husband, "the Thin One", were members of the Anglican Marines of the Church stationed at Demon's Run. They discussed the rumours of the Eleventh Doctor. Though they feared him, and their job was to kill him, they couldn't help praising him. When Lorna Bucket asked them if they had names, they said that they were the "Thin/Fat Gay Married Anglican Marines" and why they would need names.
In accordance with the Headless Monks' alliance protocol, he was to be initiated into their order as part of Kovarian's bargain with them for help keeping Amy and Melody Pond captive for the trap set for the Doctor. It can be assumed that the Fat One's beheading deeply upset his husband. (DW: A Good Man Goes to War)
