Caecilius was man who lived in Pompeii before Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. Husband of Metella and father to Evelina and Quintus. He was a marble trader who bought the Doctor's TARDIS at the market. He witnessed the Pyrovillian foot soldier attack. Later when Mount Vesuvius erupted the Doctor returned and saved Caecilius and his family. He is seen, with his family, six months later living in Rome. (DW: The Fires of Pompeii)
