Arnulf was a creation in Eugene Tacitus' world. It it he was a henchman of Childerics.
Biography
Arnulf had the role of feeding Eugene's son, whom Childeric believed was his own. As part of his service, Arnulf had to have his tongue cut out. Childeric performed this. He could not have a tongue as Childeric did not wish the "hearing of speech" to impair "his son".
Eugene's son restored his speech so that he could hear his last words as he killed him. He was disappointed that they were merely pleas for mercy. (BFA: The Holy Terror)
