With Moffat writing this stuff, I'd not be in the least surprised if you're right. I've suspected for a while that, one way or another, the Silence will end up causing the very thing they're trying to avoid. Of course, "one way or another" is pretty broad and I can't make any claim to knowing any details of how the thing will eventually work out. It will also be interesting to see what, if any, other consequences there are. In another topic, I suggested that because the Doctor's name is a question that goes far back to his origins it's possible (but very, very far from certain) that it could be used somehow as a link to allow the Time Lords to make another attempt to break out of the time lock. If that were the case, it might mean that the highly manipulative Silence were themselves being manipulated by Rassilon and company, which would be a good touch. Of course, there might be no such connection with the Time Lords and something more straightforward is going on -- if "straightforward" can ever be applied to Moffat's plots! -- along the lines you suggest. --[[Special:Contributions/89.241.64.199|89.241.64.199]][[User talk:89.241.64.199#top|talk to me]] 04:05, February 24, 2012 (UTC)

The Howling → The oldest question In The Whouniverse
There be spoilers about un-released stories here.
Run back to the forums if you're scared.

according to dorium Dr who is the oldest question in the universe so it must be a very big and important one and silence will fall when it is answered now i am very supportive of the Silents Will Fall theory becuse i can just imagain on the fields of trenzalore river(she knows the name) saying "dr who" with silents closing in on all sides then the doc just whispering in her ear the answer then a burst of energy destroying all the silents....... however the doc may not be the one to answer as i stated before river knows so what if she is the one to answer? and the silents are just going on a wild goose chase after the doc while they have created there doom in the form of river it is a posibility but just wondering what you guys think
