The Hoothi were fungoid creatures of an unknown origin.
Biology
The Hoothi could exist either as spores or as planet-sized gas spheres able to travel through space. They lived on decaying organic matter.
History
The Hoothi knew of the Time Lords and the Doctor, possibly from a previous encounter.
In the year 2570, the Doctor, Ace, and Bernice Summerfield encountered the Hoothi on Heaven. (NA: Love and War)
